Our Vision

To glorify God by enhancing worship through music, dance, and creative expression, using the arts to communicate biblical truth, deepen faith, and lead the congregation into Spirit-led worship experiences. 
To be a dynamic arts ministry that honors God through excellence, creativity, and authentic worship, leading the congregation into meaningful encounters with His presence. 

Rehearsal Schedule

Participation in the Worship & Arts Ministry includes a commitment to rehearsal, preparation,
and spiritual readiness.

Sanctuary Chorale
Thursday evenings
7:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Men’s Fellowship Choir
Rehearses monthly prior to scheduled ministry Sunday

Joyful Noise Youth Choir
Rehearsal schedule announced monthly

Triumph Praise Team
Weekly rehearsal based on upcoming service rotation

NuVision Dance Ministry
Saturday rehearsals
12:00 PM – 3:00 PM

Morning Star Band
Rehearsal coordinated with the worship team and choir rehearsals as needed.
Additional rehearsals may be scheduled before special events, concerts, or holiday productions.

Serve in Worship & Arts

Do you have a passion for music, worship, dance, or creative ministry? The Morning Star
Worship & Arts Department welcomes individuals who desire to use their gifts to glorify God and
serve the church.

There are many ways to get involved:
  • Singing in one of our choirs
  • Auditioning for the Triumph Praise Team
  • Serving as an instrumentalist in the Morning Star Band
  • Joining the NuVision Dance Ministry
  • Participating in the Joyful Noise Youth Choir
  • Applying for the College Connection Music Internship Program( coming soon)

Serving in worship ministry requires commitment, preparation, and a heart for ministry. Members
are expected to attend rehearsals, support church services, and work together in unity to create
meaningful worship experiences.

Meet the Leaders of Worship & Arts

The Worship & Arts Ministry at Morning Star is led by a dedicated team committed to spiritual excellence, musical growth, and creating meaningful worship experiences.

The Director of Worship & Arts provides leadership and vision for all music and creative ministries of the church, including the Sanctuary Chorale, Praise Team, Youth Choir, Men’s Fellowship Choir, NuVision Dance Ministry, and the Morning Star Band.

This role includes:
  • Coordinating worship music for services and special events
  • Mentoring singers, musicians, and creatives
  • Developing new leaders and ministry opportunities
  • Overseeing rehearsals, auditions, and creative productions
  • Building partnerships with community arts organizations

Through prayer, preparation, and collaboration, the Worship & Arts leadership team helps
ensure that every ministry offering points people toward Christ and supports the mission of
Morning Star Baptist Church.
