Ambassador's Ministry

Bereavement Ministry

Purpose Statement:
To offer support and comfort to families during their time of bereavement and sickness, as the Lord leads and guides us in service.

Bishop's Support

The mission of our team is to meet the diverse needs of our Bishop, his family and Morning Star Baptist Church through prayer, finances, support and encouragement. To serve God, our Bishop and others according to Matthew 20:28

Culinary (Kitchen) Ministry

Purpose Statement:
The mission of the Culinary Ministry is to serve God’s people savory, healthy and nutritious meals. The service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of God’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.

Dance Ministry

Purpose Statement:
Our CALL and MISSION is to advance the Kingdom of God. To present our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God. To worship Him in the beauty of His holiness; lifting Him up so that men would be drawn into His presence. To impart encouragement, restoration, healing deliverance and salvation to God’s people. To love as God commands, speaking His uncompromising oracles through movement, pageantry, and the spoken word to all mankind.

Healing and Encouragement Ministry

Purpose Statement:
Our mission is to help families through the grieving process. To comfort, guide and encourage them through Christ centered, spiritual guidance and shared experiences. We are empowered with a spirit inspired mission of effecting change through prayer, fasting and missionary work.

Health Ministry

Purpose Statement:
The mission of the Health Ministry is to ease the burden of disease and illness in MSBC and the greater community. The Health ministry does this by offering prayer, education, advocacy, resources and un-limited amount of support.

Married Couples Ministry

Purpose Statement:
The Marriage Couples Ministry's purpose is to encourage and strengthen married Christian couples to exalt Christ, live out mutual submission and sacrificial love, and model the relationship between Christ and His Church, as taught in Ephesians 5:21–33.
Meeting times:
Every 3rd Saturday (5pm to 7pm) in the Fellowship Hall.
Please remember its Potluck. Also, child care is provided.

Men's Ministry

Purpose Statement:
To support men in their Christian walk and development toward spiritual maturity. Men will be challenged through Bible study, prayer meetings, and times of fellowship.  This ministry is designated to cultivate productive relationships between Christian men, both within and outside the MSBC family. Strengthening men in their homes, work lives, church involvement, and community- at- large.

Missionaries Ministry 

Purpose Statement:
To be servants to all in need; to uplift and uphold the principles of Gods kingdom.

New Member's Ministry

Purpose Statement:
The New Member’s Ministry holds classes that introduce new members and new believers to the Christian faith and to Morning Star Baptist Church. In these classes, you will learn the key concepts that MSBC focuses on including love, faith, prayer, and bible study as well as the mission, vision and organizational structure of the church including its leadership, departments, boards, auxiliaries and ministries.
Class times:
Adult - 2nd and 4th Saturdays, 9:30am-11:00am
Youth - 2nd and 4th Saturdays, 9:30am-11:00am

Nurses Unit

Purpose Statement:
Our mission is to provide assistance to our Bishop and the Ministerial staff with any needs they may have during church services. The Nurses also attend to the physical needs and provide emotional support and comfort to MSBC members and visitors who may be overcome with emotions during our services.

Senior Adult Ministry

Purpose Statement:
The Senior Adult Ministry is a team of compassionate, resourceful, willing and committed staff and caregivers that hold fast to the Faith and Spirit of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to entreat our older women as mothers and our older men as fathers as commanded in I Timothy 5:1-2, while demonstrating the ability to love and care with no respect of person.

Sunday School Ministry

Purpose Statement:
Our mission is to inspire and encourage youth and adults through the teaching of the Holy Scriptures. We endeavor to lay a biblical foundation which will help them develop and become disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Usher Board

Purpose Statement:
Responsibility is what we are taught. Trust is what we earn. Relationships are what we build. Using these three words, we move to develop a ministry that is Christ-centered, Christ-serving and acceptable to Jesus Christ. Matt. 12:25
