Our Vision

The mission of the Ministry Department is to build up the church; encourage members to be deliberate about serving Jesus Christ. 
To encourage every member of Morning Star to realize that God has given them a ministry to fulfill. To help members discover and develop their respective ministry within themselves and using their ministry to bring others into the body of Christ.

Marriage Couples Ministry

The Standard Youth Ministry

Purpose Statement:
The Marriage Couples Ministry's purpose is to encourage and strengthen married Christian couples to exalt Christ, live out mutual submission and sacrificial love, and model the relationship between Christ and His Church, as taught in Ephesians 5:21–33.

Meeting times:
Every 3rd Saturday (5pm to 7pm) in the Fellowship Hall.
Please remember its Potluck. Also, child care is provided.

Purpose Statement:
The Standard’s purpose is to raise youth who boldly follow Christ by setting standards in purpose, speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity. We empower youth to reflect God’s truth and character. Age does not limit influence. Trusting that the Spirit responds to challenges, we call every young person to rise, lead, disciple, and change the world for God’s kingdom—step forward and be the difference.

Health Ministry

L.A.D.I.E.S. Ministry

Purpose Statement:
To promote health and wellness and to ease the burden of illness among members of Morning Star Baptist Church and the surrounding community through education, support, and advocacy.

Purpose Statement:
The L.A.D.I.E.S. purpose empowers young ladies from a biblical perspective, providing a safe, nurturing space for spiritual growth. We facilitate peer relationships, resilience, and joy, guiding participants through group discussions, workshops, Bible studies, and activities. Our goal is to help each young lady discover her purpose, learn from experiences, and build a strong foundation for the future.

Men’s Ministry

Purpose Statement:
Men’s ministry is dedicated to fostering spiritual growth, brotherhood, and accountability. Through fellowship driven activities including breakfast, retreats, and mentoring. We aim to equip men for leadership within their families and churches and community.

Core Pillars:
  • Fellowship & Events: Connecting through food, outdoor activities, and conferences.
  • Bible Studies & Mentoring: Strengthening faith through Scripture and supporting new disciples of Christ.
  • Service Projects: Applying faith through community service and hands-on work.
  • Discipleship & Leadership Growth: Cultivating men to lead with Christ-centered character, moving from passive faith to active, godly leadership in all areas of life.

Meeting times:
Every Tuesday evening (7pm to 8pm) in the Fellowship Hall.
Zoom access is available for Tuesday evening and
Sunday school- Men of Valor sessions
