Reverend Francine Thompson

Reverend Francine Thompson, a Boston native, exemplifies compassionate and principled Christian leadership. Since 2011, she has served as an Associate Minister at Morning Star Baptist Church, where she is committed to gospel proclamation, discipleship, and cultivating a culture of compassionate service and spiritual growth. Over the years, she has faithfully served in ministries including Pastor’s Support, Mass Choir, Singles’ Ministry, C.A.R.E. Ministry, Prayer Shawl Ministry, Sunday School, Bible Study, and Early Morning Prayer.

She holds a Master of Arts in Christian Ministries (MACM) from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, along with certifications in chaplaincy, apologetics, and Christian leadership. As Head of the Service Department, she oversees the Ambassador Ministry, Nurses’ Unit, Usher Board, Retention Ministry, and Kitchen/Culinary Ministry, and serves on the church’s Operational Team. Through collaborative leadership, she equips ministry leaders, strengthens volunteer engagement, and upholds excellence in service.

Her commitment extends beyond the church into the broader community through volunteer service with Rosie's Place, Greater Boston Food Bank, Nightingale Community Garden, Habitat for Humanity, Horizons for Homeless Children, and voter education initiatives—reflecting her dedication to justice, dignity, and community empowerment.

Recognized for her servant leadership and steady guidance, Reverend Thompson believes every believer’s gifts are vital to building a unified, Christ-centered church. By integrating spiritual depth with practical leadership, she fosters renewal, strengthens community connections, and advances the mission of the church.

A devoted mother of three adult children and a proud grandmother, she treasures her close-knit family as a continual source of joy, strength, and gratitude to God.
