Education Department

Our Mission

Our Vision

The Education Department seeks to foster multi-generational, lifelong communion with God and his holy word through various modes of learning. Through passionate teaching and discovery, we hope to disciple every mind, soul and body through education and application of the word of God leading to a strong, intimate faith. Our ultimate aim aligns with apostle Paul’s instruction to Timothy that through continuous education and training, our community of believers as servants of God “may be complete, equipped for every good work (2 Timothy 3:16-17 (ESV)).”
To build up the body of Christ by establishing a strong foundation in the word of God through the application of a unifying education curriculum via bible studies – church-wide and small groups, seminars and workshops, films, expeditions and pilgrimages for our brothers and sisters in Christ, young and old, at Morningstar Baptist Church.

The CTICL Ministry is focused on the application of the precepts of the word of God in our daily lives. CTICL looks to provide guidance and aid to the body of Christ as we maneuver through the concerns of our society including issues related to health, finance, housing, retirement and larger faith concerns. CTICL applies a variety of methods to helping our understanding of scripture and its relationship to our world including seminars, workshops, trainings and instruction.  CTICL services include aid for Adults, Young Adults and Youth.

Aspirants Ministry

The Aspirants Ministry is designed to train believers who have received or believe they have received a calling to the ministry, whether this is a call to preach and teach the word of God, or in some other ministry area like evangelism, healing, deliverance, etc..  The Aspirant Cohort provides a pathway to aid the Christian in reaching the goals God has set for them and that they have set for themselves and seeks to aid them in their spiritual growth.
The Aspirant ministry includes in-depth interactions with MSBC leadership and has a heavy spiritual emphasis. Training will include foundational study of the Bible and Christian Doctrine. It may also include training in church protocols, Baptist polity, and homiletics (if relevant to their calling), all through lectures, assignments, sermonettes and practicums.
