WHAT IS BAPTISM?
Baptism is a sacred ritual and one of the 2 main ordinances of our church, symbolizing spiritual cleansing, rebirth, and initial admission into the faith community here at Morning Star. The process involves the use of water— through immersion,— it represents the washing away of sin and the beginning of a new life in Christ. For us, baptism is both a personal and public declaration of faith, marking a commitment to follow the teachings of Christ.

REPENTANCE

Repentance is the sincere act of recognizing one’s wrongdoing, feeling genuine remorse, and making a conscious decision to turn away from sin or harmful behavior. Repentance involves confessing sins to God, seeking forgiveness, and committing to live in alignment with God’s will. It is more than just feeling sorry—it includes a heartfelt change of mind and direction.

SALVATION

Salvation is the deliverance from sin and its consequences, made possible through faith in Jesus Christ. It is the gift of eternal life and reconciliation with God, granted by His grace—not earned by human effort, but received through belief in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. Salvation involves being saved from spiritual death and brought into a restored relationship with God, both now and for eternity.
